Coat Styles for the Winter
Finding a happy medium between fashion and function during the winter can be a hard, but these winter coats are sure to please:
This pink coat has great length while laying smoothly on the body. The high neckline is perfect for those who are looking for a modestly fashionable winter coat.
This jacket has a cute bow in the back accentuating the small waist, and the color is phenomenal for the fall and winter seasons.
The puffer coat is always a great choice for warmth and fashion, especially in black, which matches with any color shoe, or even a bulky winter boot.
This green, light, military-looking coat is so in style right now, and the hood is a total hit when the winter comes. The fur makes the coat look feminine and the sinching at the waist is a great winter coat feature.

Five Hair Colors to try this Holiday season
The Qu'ran states that it is permissible to dye your hair, as long as it is not dyed black. It is also acceptable to dye graying hair. The winter season is a great time to experiment with hair color. Remember to use dyes that are pure. Here are five hair colors to try this winter season. Even though hair is covered, your family will love the new color when you reveal it. by Jasmine Roziers
Ombre: This trend is not quite gone yet, but it is still a refreshing color. It frames the face with the fading color.
Silver: For those of you who are daring and edgy enough, silver hair has made a comeback. Before women were dying their gray, now they are keeping it.
Chocolate highlights: For those of you who want a subtle change, chocolate highlights are perfect against dark brown hair.
Caramel blond: It is quite the feat to go from brunette to blond, but this transition makes it easier. The blond is not too bright and still carries some brown in it.
Auburn: Sometimes when going into a salon, people often request brunette and blond shades, but they always forget Auburn. The reddish-brown is a unique color that any brave soul could achieve.

How to Apply Neat-Looking Makeup
While some believe Muslim women should not wear makeup, it is a growing fad within the community. Here are some tips to make the makeup experience perfect and neat:
1. Apply a liquid foundation with an angled makeup sponge over blemishes, dark spots, or uneven skin to make the skin look smooth, light, and healthy.
2. For an even more smooth look, apply a concealer, which comes in the form of sticks, wands, or tubes, over problem areas and cover with a loose powedered cover up.
3. Eye makeup is key to a perfect look. Start with a light color and apply from the lash line to the eyebrow. With a medium color, apply from the lash line to the middle of the eyelid, and with a dark color, apply along the lash line to accentuate the eyes.
4. For an additional standout look, add a line of very dark and bold eye liner along the lash line on the top eyelid.
5. Mascara will make or break the perfect look. For great eyelashes, start with an eyelash curler, and add one layer of horizontal mascara. Once dry, apply mascara to the base of the eyelashes by holding the mascara brush vertically along the eyelashes.
6. Last, but not least, lipstick and lip gloss. Lip stick will be the first to be applied on the whole area of the lips. Lip gloss comes next over the lip stick starting from the middle of the lips out to the outer edge.
Following these steps will make for a perfect look.

Healthy Holiday Health Tips

In a few months, it will not only be the official winter season, but also party season. Friends and family will host New Years parties. The office might have a holiday party and maybe even some friends will too. It is hard to stay healthy during these months. One minute you are being offered cakes and pies, the next you are offered sugary drinks. Here are some tips on how to stay healthy for the holiday season.
1. Moderation: It can be tempting to eat two slices of pie or have two helpings of that amazing casserole, but it is not healthy. Instead, limit your eating. Try one small slice of pie and maybe stick to one serving of that amazing casserole.
2. Keep on moving: It can be easy to stay indoors and lay on the couch. The cold and rain sometimes makes doing daily tasks difficult; however, you can stay active indoors. Try doing some YouTube workouts, playing the Wii or just getting up and dancing around the house while you clean. The possibilities are endless, but remember to just keep moving!
3. Snacking: Snacking is OK to do. It is recommended by dietitians to have a small snack between meals. If you see a snack tray at a party, help yourself! Try not to go overboard on the snacks and you will do just fine.
4. Eliminate stress: This is easier said than done, I know. The holidays can be a stressful time of the year. Maybe you are planning a New Year's party or attending your sister's nikah, but whatever it is remember to think about your health. When life gets too hectic try making a list of tasks you need to fulfill. As you do them, cross them off. It will show you how productive you are being. Lastly, remember to just breathe!

Wrapping your Hijab
Hijabs are a playful piece of an outfit and there are many ways to wrap them. One can wrap a Hijab to look sophisticated, classy, or fun to make an event or special day perfect. A wrapped Hijab that looks Like it surrounds the head is great for everyday use, but a Hijab that is layered and wrapped to look full and flowery is extravagant and perfect for a unique night out.
